possibly in your rc.conf file you have ipv6 disabled, or it's disabled globally.

Please confirm you have IPv6 enabled. Go to Firewall-->Settings-->Advanced and confirm the Allow IPv6 checkbox is enabled.

That interface still shows IFDISABLED

This is most likely happening when you make a change that requires updating the WAN or LAN interfaces. I've experienced this a number of times, but only when making adjustments.

Have you tried disabling ddclient? I believe editing the /etc/rc.conf.d/ddclient file will allow you to disable the service.

Adding ifid to /var/etc/dhcp6c.conf is overwritten and ignored. Is there a place in the GUI for setting this?

Frankly, DSL sucks. Your internet access will be much better once you move and get fiber. I'm spoiled with gig fiber the past two years.

Delete the /var/tmp/ddclient.cache file and restart ddclient.

If this were my ISP, I would be looking for a new provider.

That said, who is your ISP? They may not sell a standalone DSL modem, but there are a number of them available for sale from companies like NetGear and TP-Link.

Replace your modem/router with a standalone modem. This will eliminate the double NAT situation you have with running OPNSense (or any other firewall for that matter).

And what is your LAN port connected to?

Or take the easy way out and change your WAN mac address...simply adding/subtracting one should resolve your problem.

Flawless upgrade here.

I am seeing the same "file /usr/local/etc/ddclient.conf must be accessible only by its owner (fixed)" error messages. When I check the file I see:

Code: [Select]
root@OPNsense:/usr/local/etc # ll ddclient.conf
-rw-------  1 root  wheel  239 Jun 29 06:26 ddclient.conf

ddclient appears to be running as "root", so I believe the message is bogus.
