General Discussion / [SOLVED] External Pi-hole doesn't resolve personal DNS entry with FQDN
« on: October 25, 2020, 08:36:31 am »
Goodmorning everyone,
I am new to OPNSense and am testing it in my homelab.
I split my home network like this:
192.168.1.X -> main network
10.172.1.X -> test network behind the firewall

I set my raspberry with Pi-hole (192.168.1.12) that I already use in the main network as the primary DNS on the firewall.
On the raspberry I also configured some personal DNS entries, for example:
192.168.1.3 server1, server1.mylan
192.168.1.13 nas, nas.mylan

Browsing the internet from the test network there are no problems and I also see the traffic passing through my Pi-hole, but when I try to reach server1 via FQDN I receive the attached error.
Can anyone help me?

EDIT: I've solved checking "Disable DNS Rebinding Checks" under System/Settings/Administration
