Quote from: OPNenthu on May 13, 2026, 03:17:59 AMPer the release notes there was no change to the nut package.  So what are you all even talking about? :P

The FreeBSD port/package was updated and now crashes.

Quote from: BrandyWine on May 13, 2026, 01:20:56 AMIs there any fanless hardware that has no holes to let in air & to let out hot air?

APU? (outdated now) Protectli?

Look ma, no holes! :-)

Here for an interface with 6 defined rules the UI displays these 6 plus the 2 floating rules that also apply to this interface. The number shown in the selector is 6, the number of rules displayed is 8.

Works that way both without and with the patch.

Same for interface groups. The floating rules are always added to the display but do not change the number in the little circle in the selector.

See screenshots - 1 vs. 3 and 5 vs. 7. Makes sense to me - if that is intended and consistent.

Interestingly the command does work, it only crashes on exit:

Quote from: runo10 on May 12, 2026, 02:34:05 PMwhy you dont recommend?

Because I think routing is superior to bridging in more or less every situation.
#25
Are you running a transparent bridge setup? If yes you should have told from the beginning.

Sorry, no idea, I do not use that and do not recommend it.

LAN servers to Internet: LAN in and WAN out
Internet to LAN servers: WAN in and LAN out
#27
In and out is always referring to the interface in question. Not our macroscopic view of "my private LANs are inside and the Internet is outside".

Quote from: transmissionend on May 11, 2026, 09:21:18 PM* output then appears to stop at:

Possibly your imported configuration is simply not configured for serial console output? That's what would happen if that was the case.

Quote from: BrandyWine on May 12, 2026, 05:36:35 AMI have for many many years ran 100% asic based soho hardware for home fw.

What exactly? Most SOHO products ship a more or less current and more or less competently hacked together Linux system. E.g. Fritzbox, which are exceptionally good at updates at least.

Ist richtig, muss man nicht. Ich mache das z.B. nicht.
