20.1 Legacy Series / Dell PERC H740P

Hi,
Has anyone managed to get OPNsense installed on a Dell PERC H740 - I know it's not on the supported hardware list (although the H730 is). There is an official Broadcom driver, but because 'mrsas' is already in the GENERIC kernel, I've got to remove that before I can use the Broadcom one.
I have run the RAID controller in RAID mode and enhanced HBA mode, and in both cases they are identified during the initial installer (disk0 is the USB, disk1 and disk2 are the HDDs) they don't appear as an install target.
Has anyone else managed to make this work?
