24.1 Legacy Series / Re: 24.1.8 unbound wont start?

DNS is not so crucial for web browsing ... which is about 90% of web activity : and in opnsense (24.7.3_1   )

Please, at least do not cross-post if unable to provide some actual info to work with for your issue.

As long as you limit your issue reporting to ranting on the forums, your setup will probably remain broken for you after every update indefinitely. It works fine here and works fine for many others.

Type top into shell. You do not need htop. You do not need to compile anything.

General Discussion / Re: Local LAN traffic going through WAN instead of LAN? Syncthing/immich etc
« on: August 31, 2024, 01:46:37 pm »
Regardless of why OPNsense use or not, I'd say tools like traceroute or mtr are pretty straightforward and show the hops across which the packets flow. If syncthing or whatever else does something different with no VLANs in place, it's most likely misconfigured.

I no longer use syncthing but as noted above - it has knobs for related settings. Never heard about immich, no idea.

24.7 Production Series / Services widget ordering
« on: August 31, 2024, 09:50:03 am »
From a quick look, it seems like it's ordered alphabetically by the column that went MIA from the display (service name) and only service description is displayed. The result is, hmmm... weird. Like - mostly alphabetical order but not really.🤷‍♂️

Ok. I don't particularly care about inspecting what's already been inspected and blocked elsewhere.

Before or after, does not matter. Suricata as IDS does not block anything via pf on OPNsense.

Negative. No idea whatsoever.

No idea at all. Perhaps your ISP can provide help since you are paying them for connectivity that requires similar whacky stuff.

I don't know the synthesis, thanks

Well, then you will have to dig into the docs.

Things like this will keep getting broken unless you submit a PR on GitHub. Anyone can do that. Normally you don't grab some other people's code a submit it somewhere.

Maybe with raw-option 25.

Try with this kernel as well.
