Hallo zusammen,

die Idee ist OPNsense als Systemsoftware auf Hardware die min POE+ auf ein paar Ports zur Verfügung stellen kann zu nutzen. Stellen sich mir 2 Fragen:

1. Gibt es Überlegungen dies in OPNsense/HardenedBSD (Plugin?) zu implementieren bzw. was würde dies für ein Aufwand bedeuten? (z.B. per GUI POE ein und ausschalten pro Interface)
2. Welche Hardware (POE+ Unterstützung)?

Hello everybody,

the idea is to use OPNsense as system software on hardware that can provide POE+ on a few ports. Ask me 2 questions:

1. Are there any considerations to implement this in OPNsense/HardenedBSD (Plugin?) or what would this mean for effort? (e.g. turn POE on and off via GUI per interface)
2. Which hardware with minimum POE+/802.3at ?

new dhcp entries in the LAN are not resolved by unbound. the option is activated (Register DHCP leases..) but only a restart of the service brings success.

If you feel like wanting to go back to the actual 18.1.r1 release (not opnsense-devel) the GUI will automatically take you there now during check + update as there is a new release type setting.
