24.7 Production Series / Re: Update to OPNsense 24.7.8 broke DNS using unbound with DNSSEC enabled
« on: November 17, 2024, 05:01:20 pm »
I wish I saw this post before I updated. Now my two PiHole servers do not block ads.

I am very new to Opnsense and would like to get back to having this work.
Any detailed help would be appreciated.

I looked into reverting backa version but opnsense-revert -l does not list anything I can revert to...

Very frustrating....

24.7 Production Series / Local webserver is always open on WAN I/F
« on: November 16, 2024, 04:21:40 pm »
I am just getting started with Opnsense and want to better understand Firewall rules.

My web server listens on port 8019 and appears to be accessible from the internet at all times.
Not sure what rule is allowing this to happen. My web server is on my IoT_LAN using 192.168.1.xxx.

My first notice of this issue was when I configured a port forward rule that would allow the web server to be accessed via port 8019. That worked fine, it was when I tested this port forward by disabling it is when I noticed the web server is still accessible from the internet.

What rule is allowing port 8019 to the web server and how do I fix that?
