Here is the status of ElasticSearch:
root@OPNsense:~ # service elasticsearch5 status
elasticsearch5 does not exist in /etc/rc.d or the local startup
directories (/usr/local/etc/rc.d), or is not executable

Any advise how to resolve this?

Zenarmor (Sensei) / Error installing Zenarmor

I am running 23.1.4 and reinstalling Zenarmor so I can use Elasticsearch instead of Mongodb.

I am getting this error during the configuration.

Setting up elasticsearch...Starting elasticsearch service...
***ERROR***: Elasticsearch service could not be started in 60 seconds!***
***ERROR*** CODE:2***

I have tried uninstalling it several times but the error persists.

Any advise how to resolve this?

The latest Zenarmor update caused havoc on my network. I uninstalled it for now until the issues are fixed.

Hi, after the update to 1.12 and opnsense 22.7.7 I get about 25% packetlos on all interfaces in Zenarmor.
If I disable the engine ping is clear. If I enable Zenarmor engine again ping is clear for about 2-3 minutes after the packetloss is coming back again...
I am now running with diabled zenarmor...
Does anyone have the same problem?

I am experiencing the same issue with this version. I tried reinstalling with the same result. For now, I uninstalled it.

Hi,

You can use its elasticsearch as Remote Elasticsearch on Zenarmor. But if you would like to uninstall it please use
pkg remove mimugmail
then remove the repo as well
rm -f /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/mimugmail.conf

Then you can install Zenarmor's Elasticsearch. Please noted that at least you need to have 8 GB memory to install Elasticsearch for Zenarmor.

Thank you for the info. I was able to install Zenarmor now using Mongodb.

So now when I do the initial configuration I get this message. I am using the mimugmail repo to run AdGuard Home.

I click proceed and was prompted to select the database to use.

How do I remove the rmimugmail repo so I can install Zenarmor using the ElasticSearch or Mongodb?

After leaving it for several hours, when I logged back in Zenarmor is now showing on the menu.

Greetings,

I reinstalled Zenarmor but it is stuck on this screen when I install the plugin.

I rebooted my firewall and tried it again but same result.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Hello,

I am trying to install AdGuard Home using the guide provided. But when I change the listening port in Unbound to 5353 the service is not starting. When I return it to 53 the service starts. Any ideas why Unbound service would not start?

Currently on version 22.7.4.
