Virtual private networks / Re: Wireguard connection to other network stops working
« on: February 08, 2021, 01:30:15 pm »
Hi anonymouslemming :)

A few questions:
- Do you have control over both endpoints of the Wireguard setup? Are there any changes in the public IP of any of the endpoints?

- As mentioned, debugging wireguard is a bit trickier than 'traditional' VPN solutions. We're basically left with using wg and wg-quick from the command line. Are you seeing any output when you run  'wg' on the command line?

- When the tunnel stops working, can you still see the configuration of your Wireguard setup with the 'wg' command on both of your endpoints?

20.7 Legacy Series / Location of configuration file for Wireguard
« on: February 05, 2021, 02:42:32 pm »
New user to the forum here with my first question :) I've tried looking but can't find the answer...

The issue is my Wireguard instance starts up with the configuration as built by the web ui, which for several reasons did not end up well.
I've made a configuration by hand which works, but it always gets overwritten by the web ui-built configuration on  a service or firewall restart.

Where can I find the location of the configuration that gets loaded on the start of the wireguard service?

Thank you all for a fantastic forum experience :)
