The issue has been identified. There is a retire issue if the SQLite DB is large. It will be fixed with the upcoming release 2.4 which will be shipped ath the end of this month.

The issue arises from the "Block All Internet Access" option, which restricts all connections. Are you aiming to block all web traffic for devices on the vmx1 interface?

I'm not entirely sure, but when iCloud Private Relay is blocked, Safari most likely tries to reach the website through a it, which could be causing the higher latency compared to other browsers.
