21.7 Legacy Series / opnsense does not respond to sip options
« on: November 12, 2021, 07:54:30 am »
Yes ..
I did some packet capture, and I understand what happens, but I don't understand why.  i configured 2 wan with failover and i saw that option packets come in from the first connection and leave the second.  if I check which connection the pbx navigates with, I see that it is on the first one ...
now I have changed the configuration type and fixed the problem, but I would have liked to understand why this behavior.

Hello to all. i don't understand why opn doesn't reply to options packages. I see the packets enter but do not go back. some idea? ip packets arrive at the pbx.
the pbx is behind nat

I use this type of configuration  for a published PBX. I have a problem now, the calls arrive correctly and if I check my public ip matches the one assigned, but when I make a phone call I see that the connection is established with the previous ip and not with the new ip. I do not understand why

opnsense by default has no traffic blocks on the lan, all traffic is allowed. sorry but I still don't understand.  the ip you are using for the lan were provided by a provider?  are ip public?

it is not easy if you have no experience, you must know nat and portforwarding. I did not understand well, did you give your webserver a public ip?  can you detail your configuration?

For ex. 192.168.10.1/24
Dhcp start from 192.168.10.100
 And 192.168.10.200

you are not using proper lan configuration because you are not using private ip.  start configuring the LAN better
