Maybe there is a issue with the driver of the network interfaces.
I don't know if there was some change in the NIC driver configuration in the last release.

I still have the 100-200ms RTTD on the WAN interface on my pcengines APU 2C4

On my appliance there is no proxy enabled and I also got the issue.

I don't know if it's related to the hardware or network interface driver but I am stuck with my internet :(

I try so many change also without any resolution.

I was waiting for the next Opnsense update but it doesn't fix my issue.

It would be nice to have a fix...

I am running the latest release of opnsense on a PcEngine APU 2C4

Hello guys,

I noticed that since last update 19.7.3 I have the RTTD that’s very high 150 ms and the RTT is low. (Gateway monitoring)

I contact my internet provider and they check the connection from their part but there is nothing.

The logs show me that this issue appeared after a restart on 22 September...

Do you know if the issue is coming from opnsense itself or dpinger plugin ?

Thank you for your help,
Logan

Hi,

I got the same issue and that was due to the MTU.

You can check it by running the ifconfig command on the OpnSense CLI.

A topic already exist in the forum and the update 19.1.1 seems to be released soon.

@Mimugmail

Thank you so much you solve my issue !

With this option the MTU keeps running at 1500 using the DHCP.

Thank you again

That's what I do and now the MTU stays at 1500 and I have again a working connection to internet.

Please find a way to disable the auto MTU coming from DHCP side.

Can we configure something in OpnSense to disable the MTU to be set by the DHCP server on the WAN ?

Thanks

Yes that’s what I do but after that I am loosing packet to internet (Ping command).
And I check with ifconfig and the interface stays at 576 even if it’s configured on GUI

I got the same issue on a pcengines APU but even if I tried to change manualy the MTU in the GUI it doesn’t reflect in the ifconfig command on cli.

The MTU directly switch to 576 again ...

I tried with reboot and stil the same :(
All other LAN and DMZ interfaces are Running at 1500 MTU without having to configure them.

Do you know how can I solve this issue ?
Thank you

Yes and yes the MTU is set to 576 on my WAN.

I tried to force the MTU to 1500 on the interface but in CLI with ifconfig the interface stays at 576 even if I reboot thé opnsense.

I saw on internet that this settings are transmitted by DHCP on WAN are they any ways to disable the 576 ?

Thanks

My Iphone is unable to reach the apple store but can access some website.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one getting this issue
