Zenarmor (Sensei) / Re: Sensei on OPNsense - Application based filtering
« on: December 10, 2018, 07:27:49 pm »
Installed Sensei today on a Qotom. seems to be working fine. Setup is just for a small household with me and my girlfriend, but we are going to expand to a dog and 2 kids. So torture tests will have to wait for some time.

General Discussion / Suggestion: Description for backups
« on: December 10, 2018, 07:21:03 pm »
I would like to suggest the possibility to add a description to the backup configurations. I keep forgetting why I made a backup file. I now use the filename to remember why I made the backup but this gives loooooong filenames, but an extra field that allows me a longer description would be helpful.

When restoring the backup, after selecting the file, the GUI could display the description before we restore it.

You know, as a Christmas gift :)

Got a q355g4 running here also.
Only have it running for 1 week now.
No problems yet, plenty of power. Using it with fibre pppoe 500/500.

General Discussion / Prefetch websites
« on: October 11, 2018, 10:54:20 pm »
Hi,

Due to an upgrade I'm left with a 1TB msata SSD that I can only use in my OPNsense router.
I can of course use this for cache proxy, but is there also a way to prefetch websites that my users frequently visit?
I'm working a lot with satellite communication where you see this function regularly to minimize bandwidth usage.
Is there a way to set this up in OPNsense?
