Hey,
it depends on what your understanding of active-active is?
All state tables are synced within a cluster and if the master fails, a secondary appliance takes over without an outtage...?

Hi,

I´m on 17.1.7 and IPSec traffic is only working if any - any is enabled.
As soon as any source or destination ip is inserted, all ipsec traffic get´s blocked by default any block rule.

Anything I can provide in order to help?

looks correct so far, just change destination from any to wan adress... these are the settings I have running for my plex servers.

Hi,

in order to gain access to your opnsense via wan, you just need to configure a firewall rule
External IP/Host -> WAN address -> OPNsense Managment Port (443)

I'm using an ipsec connection between homeoffice - office since 15.1.6 without any issue. What's your endpoint? Maybe this issue isn't really an ipsec case but loadbalances / nat issue..?

Hi Tristan,

sounds like a problem not related to opnsense? maybe you change the fritzbox on your other site also to a opnsense? Or you can try to establish the ipsec connection directly from the opnsense gateway, basically it's normal ipsec.

Vielen Dank, das sehen viele so.
Die Roadmap steht bis 16.1 schon, aber wenn das packaging fertig ist, könnten die features in die 16.7 einfließen? Sofern es Unterstützung gibt, kann man dies sicherlich auch früher angehen.

Hi,

had a chance yesterday to test that setup.
I was able to establish a vpn connection to a remote fritzbox using fritz fernzugang and ping remote hosts.
Was behind an opnsense 15.1.8.2 using default configuration.
Not sure why it's not working in your setup...what's weired is that you mention timeouts?
what kind of hardware do you use?

erst einmal herzlichen Willkommen hier im Forum und bei OPNsense!
Aus einigen Punkten werde ich nicht ganz schlau, muss daher erst mal nachfragen:
Wie genau soll Dein endgültiges Setup aussehen?
Warum bridged Du WAN und LAN?
Nach einer Installation solltest Du die Schnittstellen direkt per Console zuweisen und eine IP hinterlegen, dies erspart Dir den Umweg über DHCP via Fritzbox.

sieht soweit alles korrekt aus...welchen Mobilfunkanbieter hast Du dran? Leider sehe ich die WAN2 IP nicht, bis auf Telekom GK UMTS Tarife sind aber ja alle UMTS Verbindungen genatet und daher extern nicht erreichbar..?

qmi_wwan ist glaube ich nicht mit enthalten, bin mir aber nicht ganz sicher...
