Does anyone have PIA vpn working on the latest build? About a week ago or so mine stopped working. It connects fine but I am not getting any internet.

19.7 Legacy Series / OPNsense will only boot once with config

Everything was working fine for years and then OPNsense went down. When it went down it locked up my connected windows computer. I tried to start OPNsense back up to no avail.I thought for sure there was a hardware issue so I ran memtest and smart extended. Everything checked out good so I ran a live installer and imported a recent backup. Everything booted up fine and I'm back running. Reboot the router and the same issue happens where it won't boot up. Did the same thing another time to confirm. Then I just installed to factory defaults and everything works and I can restart fine.

What could cause it to boot the restored config fine but not reboot it again? What logs should I be looking at and is there an easy way to isolate the errors? Why would the Windows pc lockup during the crash?

19.7 Legacy Series / OpenVPN tap on android

I'm at a loss trying to get my vpn connection to work using openvpnclient on android with tap selected
in the settings. It connects fine with no errors that i'm aware of but I seem to have no dns since I can't reach any local devices or www pages. I'm running unbound as a resolver.  don't know what i'm missing but maybe someone will see something wrong.

OPNsense vpn server settings:
user auth local database
protocol=udp
device mode= tap
interface=wan
IPv4 Tunnel Network = 10.68.69.0/24 (my lan)
redirect gateway=checked
dynamic ip=checked
address pool= checked
firewall allow rule on wan and openvpn

Upgrade to 18.1 through UI failed error 19. Not much more I can say at this time. Any ideas?

General Discussion / Port forward on VPN & Wan

I use OpenVpn to connect to PIA vpn provider. If I pull routes from PIA it then pushes all traffic through the VPN and disregards the firewall rules I use for selective routing on either the PIA gateway or Wan gateway. If I don't pull routes from PIA everything works correctly but then my ports won't forward on the Wan Interface but work on the PIA Interface. When I pull routes the opposite happens. How can I get this to work so I can port forward on both interfaces at the same time? I'm thinking I need to add in custom policy routing?

What would cause all of my port forwards to stop working? I was making some changes to my vpn connection. For some reason all my traffic was being sent through the vpn and not respecting the firewall rules. I'm not sure what I did to get it work correctly but now all of my port forwarding is not working?

Edit: Port forwarding on the vpn works but not on the wan

Is there any way to switch to the 64bit release from the command line? Or should I do a fresh install and restore my 32bit xml?

15.1 Legacy Series / PIA vpn

I'm trying to setup a PIA openvpn client. The part where I am stuck is the credentials. In pfsense I had to edit a file( can't find the option on opnsense) for the user and password and tell the vpn where to look for it.  Do I have to ssh into opnsense to make a file?  I tried to put my credentials in the client but that is not working.
