General Discussion / Fritzbox 5530 and OPNsense??

I have a SAK CH internet connection with a provided Fritzbox...

It gives the OS an internal IP and not the WAN IP.

I have tried to connect a SFP capable switch to convert the fiber to Ethernet to no avail.

I only get the internet going when using DHCP on WAN and connecting through the Fritzbox....

Any ideas to how to circumvent the damn thing and run OS directly on the fiber?

I keep getting blocked out after a couple of hits on the unread page.

After about 15 mins, I am connecting again.

No blocks or anything in the logs on my side.

Getting a lot of those errors on em1. Not happening on em0.

Is this IDS/IPS related?

General Discussion / DNS via Opnsense and no option to bypass it...

Hi there

I have these rules applied. The rule syntax is quite different from pfsense apparently.

I cant get DNS to go via opnsense box. If I use these rules, DNS doesnt work using unbound.

If any -> any then DNS works.

DNS is specified under system -> General

Hi

Completely unresponsive after a few days.

One of the cores goes through the roof when it happens.

When I close the tab in Firefox, everything returns to normal.

Would it be possible to make alias as ASN??

So I wouldnt have to take care of the IP's but associate an ASN and assume it will take care of itself??

That would minimize maintenance and nuisance for the clients trying to connect when changing IP address...

Hi there. Long time no see.

I cannot login at the console if I password protect it, despite using the same password that I do in the WebGUI (root user). Why??

If I disable the password protection then I can access the console?? Does it change locale or keyboard layout?

Another thing.

Suricata implementation. I need the Suricata alerts on the Dasbboard... how can I get the Suricata alerts there in a standalone widget??

What about a more detailed traffic graph and the ability to use the "wrench" in the widget to customize it?
