24.7 Production Series / Remote Access to OPNSense 24.7_9

Hi,

I have just installed the new version of OPNsense 24.7_9 and established I-Net connection and even set up Nord VPN as per Nord instruction on their site. All outgoing connections over VPN are fine.

Now, I want t access the FW from the WEeb.  As a newbie I'm not even able to find the WAN IP from the provider to check if it works. I also have domain name from my I-Net provider myname.domain.xy (xy=cuntry code) The access does not work. I wanted to try via IP but don't know where to find it.

I need to know how to set the rule to access the Web IF. (see screenshot)

And how to set up Dynamic DNS. Especially what host name and what protocol, as service I chose custom.
On my Vilfo router I just had to put the domain name, no user name or password was necessary.

I did both but probably wrong.

German - Deutsch / mehrere VPN-Provider Verbindungen

Hallo zusammen,

derzeit habe ich zwei Vilfo Router im Einsatz an zwei verschiedenen Standorten und bin sehr zufrieden.  Doch es sieht so aus, als würde das Vilfo Projekt nicht mehr weiter laufen. Noch funktioniert alles, doch weiß ich nicht wie lange. Also möchte ich wissen, ob ich mit OPNsense die gleiche Konfiguration haben kann.

Worauf es mir ankommt

1) Site-to-site VPN  - das wird wohl gehen. Im Vilfo habe ich die OPNVPN config des jeweils andren Routers als Custom VPN Provider installiert als workaround.

2) Ich möchte, wie mit Vilfo, unterschiedliche Geräte Gruppen haben, die über unterschiedliche VPN Anbieter (oder Verbindungen beim gleichen Provider) ins internet gehen oder eben eine Gruppe ohne VPN. Wenn innerhalb der Gruppe auch noch URL Ausnahmen gemacht werden können, noch besser.

Ist das möglich ohne eine Riesenaufwand, vor allem beim Maintenance?

Gerne auch andere Vorschläge außerhalb von OPNsense.

German - Deutsch / NordVPN Wireguard

Hi all,

I'm using OPNSense since a few weeks. I saw this video and decided to "get rid" of my home router . Actually I have a Vilfo Router at home, which is from my perspective very good. I've installed this one in a vacation home.

Yes , in the vid is all about pfSense but I decided to use OPNSense after a bit of research on the iNet.
It is installed on a Protectli Vault.

It is up and running. BUT. I'm missing a device list, to start with. OK, not a big deal.
What I need is a manual or guideline to install NordVPN via Wireguard and select devices that goes trough VPN and wich not. This is essential, since Netflix etc have problems going trough VPN. 

Why Wireguard? I have fiber internet with 1 GB .  I would like to have the speed.
