22.1 Legacy Series / Loss of internet connection in Linux VMs after reboot
« on: July 27, 2022, 05:01:05 pm »
I have a strange issue with my OPNsense (v22.1.10) installation hosted on a Proxmox 7 server:
My LAN consists of multiple VMs (Windows and Linux). The Windows VMs work fine and are able to access the internet (even when rebooted). But if I reboot the Linux VMs after the reboot no more internet connection is possible.
This situation lasts until I reboot the OPNsense VM. After that the Linux VMs are able to connect to the internet again. But once the Linux VMs are rebooted once more then the connection is broken again !?

Does anyone know which could cause these problems ? I would be thankful for any idea how to analyse the problem. I don't know what to check to solve this ?

20.1 Legacy Series / How to configure DNS service discovery in HAProxy plugin
« on: May 28, 2020, 09:35:50 am »
Hi all,

I'm about to migrate from pfSense to opnSense and most of the stuff already works but currently I'm struggling how to get the DNS service discovery configured in the UI of the HAProxy plugin:

https://www.haproxy.com/de/blog/dns-service-discovery-haproxy/

In pfSense there is a HAProxy service setting called "Global DNS resolvers for haproxy" where DNS servers can be configured.
Is this configuration not available in opnSense (GUI) or do I just not find them ?
