19.1 Legacy Series / OPT1 net can't ping gw, no internet
« on: March 09, 2019, 12:38:07 pm »
Hey there

I have 3 network cards in my opnsense box. WAN and LAN work fine OPT1 does not on the other hand.
NAT rules are automatically generated, I added a firewall rule but the OPT1 GW ip is not pingable from connected hosts and therefor no connectivity other than the local net, minus the GW.
GW IP is 10.100.102.1 and oingable from the opnsense box itself, I have attached screenshots from the configuration. WAN is called 'Services', OPT1 is called 'Users'.
What am i missing here?

General Discussion / "OpenVPN net" does not work in source field of fw rules
« on: February 17, 2019, 02:14:32 am »
Hey

My ovpn network is 10.100.101.0/24.
When i make a rule under OpenVPN and i put as source 10.100.101.0/24 and dest as "OpenVPN net", I can ping/access other clients/gw as I should be, however if I put as source "OpenVPN net" instead of the ip range it does not work. (while connected via vpn)

Why does it work in the dest field and not in the source field?
