Does anyone know if the "new" if_pppoe from FreeBSD gives a performance boost on APU2's?
If it would give the APU2 the possibility to reach 1GBit (like in Linux) that would be awesome.

I just saw PFsense has switched to it or at least gives you the option to switch to it, will OPNsense do the same?

Ik heb me router achter de fritzbox staan en er is een bridge tussen de modem en de router.
Het lijkt er op dat de modem zo nu en dan een reconnect doet.
Als dit gebeurt verliest de router zijn ipv6 toewijzing en die krijg ik pas terug als ik een netwerk interface herinitialiseer.

Is er een manier die blijft checken of er een ipv6 is of deze refreshed elke zoveel seconden ofzo?

Goedemiddag, ik heb een vraag.
Ik ben bezig me netwerk opnieuw in te delen, in mijn nieuwe schema heb ik 9 VLAN's.

Nu zou ik het liefst de routes managen via OPNsense zodat ik ook firewall mogelijkheden behoud, maar ik wil wel de snelheid behouden van mijn switch.
Klopt het dat als ik me switch in Level 3 modus zet (SG300) en deze het verkeer eenmaal heeft gezien waar het heen moet via OPNSense dat de rest van het verkeer op de switch blijft?

Met andere worden dat het VLAN verkeer niet allemaal over de ene LAN poort van OPNsense loopt?

Dat begreep ik uit een blog welke ik had gelezen, maar ik kan het ook verkeerd hebben...

Virtual LAN (VLAN) segments are connected back to pfSense in a 'router-on-a-stick' configuration. Its referred to as 'router-on-a-stick' because of the single trunk cable connecting the 802.1Q capable switch to our pfSense router. This enables our switch to handle local subnet traffic switching whilst leveraging pfSense to firewall inter-subnet traffic. Some of my fileservers and devices generate a substantial amount of traffic and not having to push all this traffic through pfSense allows it to better handle the load it does need to process.
