General Discussion / Two Nics, One IP for laptop
« on: August 23, 2019, 02:52:36 am »
I've been trying to figure out how to do this on OPNsense but can't seem to find instructions on how to do so without using DHCP. I'm trying to limit my connected devices to only the things that I have made static DHCP leases for and this is stopping me from being able to lock things down.

I have a laptop and a desktop that have two network ports. The laptop, of course, has a WiFi nic and a LAN port which I use to connect to LAN when I'm at home and the desktop has two nics that I want to use.

In PFsense, I could create two lease entries with the same IP for both connections and it works, on OPNsense I just get this error:

This Hostname, IP, MAC address or Client identifier already exists.

Not sure if I am doing something that nobody else does or would ever do but any help to figure this out would be really appreciated.

General Discussion / Gateway Monitoring showing no data
« on: August 23, 2019, 02:42:25 am »
Not sure why this is happening but I have set the gateway Monitor IP option to use 1.1.1.1 but it's been days and nothing shows up for the stats on the lobby dashboard.

18.7 Legacy Series / Multiple Xbox 1 on NAT with PnP
« on: August 28, 2018, 06:15:57 am »
Reading up the forums and Googling for how to do this comes up with nothing much that actually works.

I found this article that says the instructions were removed but nothing replaced it (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=3521.0).

I then found this which got me to get PnP working but NAT is still showing Strict no matter what I do. Please help, I will put together a proper tutorial if we can figure this out so others can have access to it and work on keeping it updated.

So far this is what I got...
Static IP for Xbox
Installed os-upnp

In UPnP and Nat-PMP Settings I have the following:
  • Enabled
  • Allow UPnP Port Mapping
  • Allow NAT-PMP Port Mapping
  • External Interface - WAN
  • Interfaces (generally LAN) - LAN
  • Set 1 [allow 0-65535 000.000.000.000/32 0-65535]
Under NAT -> Outbound I have the following:
  • Source Address - Single Host or network - 000.000.000.000" & "Static Port - Checked"

This what it shows for versions:

OPNsense 18.7.1_3-amd64
FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p12
OpenSSL 1.0.2o 27 Mar 2018

I changed my IPs to 0's ... Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
