Italian - Italiano / Firewall hardware e connessione FTTH da 10Gb/s

Ciao


Vorrei acquistare un Firewall hardware con l'ultima versione di OPNsense da connettere direttamente ad un ONT esterno che controlla una connessione FTTH da 10Gb/s.


Questo firewall dovrebbe gestire una LAN di 10 computer, un NAS e quattro TV connessi ad uno switch di 20 porte.


Siccome faccio un uso inteso di programmi di File sharing e di servizi di streaming su più dispositivi contemporaneamente, tale firewall dovrebbe essere in grado di in fare ciò senza problemi 24h/24 e 7g/7.


Quindi, quale firewall mi consigliate?

General Discussion / Accessing the router in Bridged mode

I have a LAN network managed by a hardware firewall with OPNsense 18.7.8 64 bit to which is connected, on its WAN port, a VDSL2+ router in Bridged mode. So, in order to access the Internet, I need to use the OPNsense PPPoE mode.


This network has the addresses 192.168.1.x while the VDSL2+ router has the address 10.0.0.1 .


Now, how should I configure the firewall to access the router's web interface by LAN computers?

I have a LAN network managed by a hardware firewall that has OPNsense 17.8.4 64 bit.


To access the firewall, I use Chrome 69.x.x.x 64 bit.


I would like to access this firewall using the https protocol.


So, with OPNsense, how do I create a valid auto-certificate, export it and import it into Chrome?

Hardware and Performance / purchase of an firewall hardware

Hi



I'm looking for an OPNsense firewall that can handle an Ethernet LAN consisting of 8 computers, a NAS, a printer and two smart-TVs connected to a 16-port switch. The Internet connection (VDSL2) is managed by the TIM router.


Now, I would like to buy a hardware firewall, managed by OPNsense 18.7 64 bit, that allows to completely manage this LAN and the Internet connection on PPPoE. Moreover, I would like to have the possibility to use also a backup Internet connection.


In addition to normal navigation, I do an intensive use of the P2P and torrent networks and I also see at the same time two different programs streaming on the two Smart-TVs.


So, which hardware firewall should I buy?

Italian - Italiano / Acquisto firewall OPNsense

Sto cercando un firewall OPNsense che possa gestire una LAN Ethernet composta da 8 computer, un NAS, una stampante e due Smart-TV connessi ad uno switch da 16 porte. Il collegamento ad Internet (VDSL2) e` gestito dal router di TIM.

Ora, vorrei acquistare un firewall hardware, gestito da OPNsense 18.7 a 64 bit, che permetta di gestire completamente questa LAN ed il collegamento ad Internet su PPPoE.

Inoltre, ho anche la necessità accedere alla rete anche dall'esterno mediante un tunnel criptato creando una VPN.

Vorrei anche usare, come connessione di backup, un router 4G che intervenga automaticamente se la connessione principale ad Internet non funzionasse.

Oltre alla normale navigazione, faccio un intenso uso delle reti P2P e torrent e vedo anche contemporaneamente due programmi diversi in streaming sulle due Smart-TV.

Quindi, quale firewall hardware dovrei acquistare?

General Discussion / OPNsense and wake-on-LAN

I have a LAN with 8 network peripherals connected to a switch that is connected to a hardware firewall (computer). In addition, a VDSL2 router was connected to this firewall to give Internet access to the LAN.


I would like to know if I was installing OPNsense 18.1.6 in my firewall, I would be able to remotely control the power on and off of the various network devices both manually and automatically.

Ho una LAN con 8 periferiche di rete connesse ad uno switch che e` connesso ad un firewall hardware (computer). Inoltre, un router VDSL 2 e` stato connesso al firewall per dare l'accesso ad Internet alla LAN.


Vorrei sapere se installassi OPNsense 18.1.6 nel mio firewall, riuscirei a controllare da remoto l'accensione e lo spegnimento delle varie periferiche di rete sia in modo manuale che in automatico.
