General Discussion / Dynamic routing config
January 29, 2019, 10:44:45 AM
So after a year or so I'm finally ready for the 2nd attempt to set up OPNsense (first one failed miserably).  ;D ;D ;D I see many thing have changed for the better which is great. I wonder if someone here can help me with the dynamic routing config of my OPNsense router? I'm ready to donate or pay for services. Please PM me or post a reply to this thread. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

So basically what the subj says looking for help with router config/setup: dynamic routing (BGP), two incoming and two outgoing interfaces, multiple IPv4 subnets on every interface.

Guys please feel free reply to this topic or send me a PM.

Hi,

I wonder if there's a way to hook up several IPv4 subnets to multiple interfaces simultaneously? Our topology is as follows: two incoming interfaces from our upstreams (dynamically routed via BGP) and two outgoing to two server racks. We tried virtual IPs but the GUI only allows us to add a single /24 subnet to each interface then it says "This IP address is being used by another interface or VIP". Any ideas on how this can be fixed?

Hi guys,

As far as I understand it's not possible to assign multiple IPs or subnets to a single interface via webgui?  I wonder if it's possible to do it directly via the config file? Where is the config file located?

Thanks in advance!

General Discussion / Need help with config
December 02, 2017, 11:26:40 PM
Hi guys,

I'm new here, would like to say hi to the community/all OPNsense users!

We're considering OPNsense as a routing solution for one of our customers.  However there are some minor issues:

1. We're unable to find BGP IN/OUT filters. Perhaps they're called differently in FreeBSD world?
2.  We located the ARP table but there seems to be no option to set static ARP. Can it be done via the console perhaps?
3.  The customer is planning to use static IPs leased from us on his network what would be the correct way to forward these IPs from our network to their OPNsense router's interfaces?
4. What about IPv6? Anyone here running IPv6 on OPNsense? Any tips/hints or feedback?

Thanks in advance,
Paul
