General Discussion / Unable to receive Connection through WAN2
« on: April 26, 2019, 11:46:14 pm »
I have 1 LAN connection and 2 WAN Connections (Design for failover / load balancing )
Default gateway is not set on either WAN
I can receive the connection via Port Forwarding on WAN 1 to the web server ( Port 80 )
However with the same setting on WAN 2 ( with same port forwarding ) it wont connect.

I have been working on this for a week now, change every setting I can think of, but no luck

I need this working where either WAN connection in goes to the same server via the LAN interface
for load balancing, I have checked logs and on WAN2 when the conenction comes in it shows as
orange with rdr ( I assume that means port forward redirect )
Its not FQDN or DNS or web server binding

I am getting to the end of things to try, really need any help I can get
Appreciated

General Discussion / Import / Export Alias
« on: April 13, 2019, 09:47:56 pm »
I cant see a way to import or export (save) Alias IPs or Hosts
This option used to be in previous versions and was very useful
You can paste, but it doesnt always work and you cant save

Please bring this feature back
Thanks

17.7 Legacy Series / [SOLVED] Traffic Shaper - Upload Error
« on: August 25, 2017, 03:09:24 pm »
After 3 tests;

Line 100Mbit/100Mbit

Test 1

Configuration
Down Limit - 10Mbits
Up limit - 10Mbits

Actual (When enabled)
Down - 10Mbits
Up - 25Mbits

Disabled Limiter
Down - 94Mbits
Up - 91Mbits

Test 2

Configuration
Down Limit - 20Mbits
Up limit - 20Mbits

Actual (When enabled)
Down - 20Mbits
Up - 25Mbits

Disabled Limiter
Down - 90Mbits
Up - 92Mbits

Test 3

Configuration
Down Limit - 1Mbits
Up limit - 1Mbits

Actual (When enabled)
Down - 1Mbits
Up - 25Mbits

Disabled Limiter
Down - 95Mbits
Up - 88Mbits

Test 4
(Run over FTTC 76Mb / 18Mb)

Configuration
Down Limit - 1Mbits
Up limit - 1Mbits

Actual (When enabled)
Down - 1Mbits
Up - 16Mbits

Disabled Limiter
Down - 76Mbits
Up - 16Mbits

Download Limiter - Works perfectly, no issues
Upload Limiter - seems to be locked at 25 Megabits

I now believe this is a bug or the amount has been hard coded for testing and not removed on release
After nearly a week of testing and changing configurations I am know convinced this is a bug.

17.7 Legacy Series / Traffic Shaper - Upload Ignored
« on: August 23, 2017, 05:19:20 pm »
version 17.7
Having configured the TRafic Shaper, Pipes then Rules and appliied on both
I then did a speedtest
The download speed is nearly exact to the instruction in the Traffic Shape Rule
However The Upload speed seems to be ignored and just runs at full speed what ever
I change it to or prioritize it as, Any ideas?
I read somewhere (cant remember where), that there is an issue with FreeBSD itself reporting the upload speed.
Is this the case ?
If so anyone know when there will be a fix?
Many Thanks

17.7 Legacy Series / [SOLVED]17.7 Error OPNSense 'return in quick on em0' when adding rule with alias
« on: August 03, 2017, 02:54:10 pm »
Hi,
Firstly must say that OPNSense is a great peice of software used it for 6 months now
and never had any problems, and quite feature rich.

However I have just come across an issue in 17.7 when adding a GEOIP Alias as a Rule to a WAN

I get the following error
macro <Alias Name> not defined --- block return in quick on em0 inet from <Alias Name>
to {any} label {USER_RULE}

Where <Alias Name> is the name of the Alias

What does this mean, more importantly how do I fix it ?
It only seems to happen on 17.7 works fine on 17.1

Help !
