Hello guys i need you help,recently our gateway works fine before the update.

-I installed or update to the latest released of OPNSense ( OPNsense 17.1.7-amd64 )

Problem:
-Due to update i'm having difficulties on accessing website like rappler ( http://www.rappler.com/) youtube and google sometimes

The configuration is the same from previous setup w/o updating and it works like a charm.

General Discussion / [SOLVED] Suricata Stop working due upon updating to 17.1.4

Hello guys any idea/help The suricate services stop working when updated to 17.1.4 released.

Problem Encountered.
-suricata service stop working and when you click the button or restart the services it starts then a couple of minutes stop working again, the services will stop abnormally.

General Discussion / Web Proxy - Stop Working due to update to OPNsense 17.1.2

Recently my web proxy working fine and on previous version upto OPNsense 17.1.1 version.

i setup ACL (Access Control List on web proxy or squid)
=before i can add and allow whitelist and blacklist, even (Block specific MIME type reply) was working before but due to update its not working anymore it blocks or i cant download .iso .exe and .torrent files anymore even those was already removed to blacklist, with previous version its working fine.

Hi enabled web proxy services on opnsense, everything is working fine, but when i enabled Enable SSL mode i cant browse https website, any idea? i already set rules on firewall

Hi i created a usb bootable drive with usb via Rufu ive notice that im getting BSOD when process is completed on windows machine, even i inserted the usb on windows machine im getting BSOD this is only happen on rufus installer.

Hia good start to block torrent is blocking file downloads and every file URL that ends with .torrent or .exe, i tried to block .torrent .exe file via Access Control List on web Proxy but

i was able to block .exe but .torrent file or extension cant block, this one was working before the update to OPNsense 16.7.14-amd64

Note: before the update its working fine

Hi recently my reporting insight was working fine, after updating to the latest release its kinda buggy now, report graphs has no data available, i already disabled and enable the interface on netflow - capture

Hello guys im having problem on the generated reports. my opnsense setup is multiwan ( with 4 dsl connected dynamic) and set all to tire 1.

Problem: i've notice that insight generated reports on interface working fine but for the Top Usage ports/sources (bytes) on lan has a problem, there is no generated reports on packets in.

My other server (Stable Server) it seems to be working fine.

Hi guys why its not possible to set on monitor ip with the same ip address like i want to use 208.67.220.220.

My setup: my wan dsl is dhcp so the gateway and public ip is dynamic.

My 1st opnsense server with multiwan setup and DNS Resolver was stable and i enable proxy server,

Question: Guys it is possible to set the proxy server automatic to all clients without configuring browser to set the proxy server.

My Setup:

I tried and test the proxy server with browser ( Firefox) and its working fine.

with authentication setting also works fine.

I try to set the OPNSense as loca DNS Server but its not working or resolving, thanks and looking for your fast response.

Connection:
-All my WAN is DHCP connection

Setting on OPNsense
-system General -- > DNS Servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS).

Services
-i disabled DNS forwarder and set DNS Resolver enable.

Another Problem.
When i refresh the dashboard also some services was stop/disabled and refresh again its ok then vice versa.

Note: on my other server its working fine with the same setup.

Hello guys anyone here can post a complete guide how to block p2p on opnsense.

1. I would like to block specific .exe like bittorrent, flashget or emule on the gateway or with a extension .torrent files

Note: i tried to disabled the default rule on LAN and enable only ports that is needed but the my client flashget can still download torrents.

On PFSense can we add Layer7 like this one

Hello good day guys, im just new to opensense im still exploring the capabilities. currently im working with multiwan+loadbalancing and failover any tutorial or guides thanks and looking for your fast response.

Setup:

i have 5 DSL Line connected ( 10Mpbs) each line on opnsense server how do i combine with load balancing and failover,

Please refer on screenshot, it seems only one dsl are being used/utilize based on the traffic graphs (Default gateway)

General Discussion / P2P Blocking and Port Blocking - Torrents

Hi im new to opnsense and im just converted our ClearOS gateway to OPNsense, any guide on the following

1. how to block P2P on the gateway with firewall
2. how to bock all ports and allow certain ports only on the gateway/opnsense (this is an alternative way to block p2p and only allow certain ports to be used).
