General Discussion / In errors on LAN
« on: July 31, 2016, 10:02:40 am »
Hi there, in a rather basic setup WAN LAN with 2 VLAN's I get "in errors" on the LAN when copying data to one of the VLAN's which is connected to an AP. I have tried STP, but no change. Has anyone an advise to further inspect this? Btw the errors, have (as far as I can tell) no effect on the the copied file, so tcp/ip seems to handle it?

General Discussion / Ubound
« on: July 24, 2016, 10:28:21 am »
Hi there I guess this Q has been asked, so if I get a RTFF I understand  ;) . Is there a particularly reason why dnsmasq (forwarder) service is still default, instead of ubound (resolver)?

General Discussion / [SOLVED] RTT
« on: July 24, 2016, 10:24:53 am »
HI there I have noticed that the RTT (gateway) always reads 0.0ms and 0.0% loss on a DSL connection. Of course that's fine, but when using pfsense there were measurements every 3 sec and they did differ. OPNsense is of course better than pfsense ;) , but a steady 0.0 seems a bit too good to be true. Can anyone explain this? Has it something to do with apinger? Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / [SOLVED] Console Message
« on: July 23, 2016, 02:36:52 pm »
Hi there I could use some help on the explanation of the console message I am getting

 [HBSD ASLR] pax_aslr_init_vmspace check your /boot/loader.conf
-> pid 92753 ppid: p_pax: 0x40<ASLR>

I checked the file, only 5 lines nothing in particulair:

root@OPNsense:/boot # cat loader.conf
comconsole_speed="115200"
hw.usb.no_pf="1"
autoboot_delay="3"
loader_brand="opnsense"
loader_logo="hourglass"

Thanks for any help in advance...
