21.7 Legacy Series / Re: 21.7-RC1 Boot hang at “Configuring VLAN interfaces...” with imported 21.1 config
« on: July 28, 2021, 10:44:28 pm »
In an attempt to bring my network back up I tried using my config with the 21.7 install config importer. That failed and hung configuring the VLANs. Went back a release to 21.1 and the installer successfully imported the config and booted fully.

I just had this exact issue happen to me when trying to upgrade from 21.1 to 21.7. After updating the we web UI and rebooting it hangs at "Configuring VLAN interfaces". Never proceeds further. No hardware change for me. Running on a supermicro X10SDV-TP8F

I also have a lagg interface that has vlans associated with it.

Hardware and Performance / abysmal performance on fitlet
« on: December 25, 2018, 09:05:55 pm »
Just set up opnsense on my fitlet for my parents. Only seeing about 20-70Mbps. They're paying for 300Mbps from Optimum. The old Asus RT-N66U can push about 150Mbps. Back when I ran the fitlet, with pfsense (since migrated to opnsense, figured because of the BSD base they should get around the same performance), I could get to to go to around 500-600Mbps.

Don't understand how a box with a quad core 1-1.6Ghz x86 chip (A4-6400T) is getting outperformed by a dual core 600Mhz mips box. Know it can't handle gigabit, but for this purpose it should be enough. Not running anything fancy, just doing basic NAT. Any ideas on what might be happening?

Through some sort of magic, rebooting my main Cisco switch fixed things.

After updating to 18.7, DHCP requests on my LAN are timing out. Any ideas on how to fix this?
