no, i just read that the pppoe server package was removed from opnsense, i suppose it is not available per se in the default build?

loadbalancing is session-based. i single connection is usually kept on a single link. thus you cannot exceed thatlinks speed.

what kind of speedtest do you run? if this is a multiconnection test, of course then you can utilize the sum of available bandwidths.

you created a GW group on top of the VPN? dont you need VTI for that?

i am currently thinking about a load-balance/failover setup for VPNs, like bonding several VPNs. haven't found the perfect setup, yet.

hello,

AFAIK ipsec VTI is usable in opnsense but there still seems to be a major open bug:

IPSec in transport mode between FreeBSD hosts blackholes TCP traffic
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=242744

the corresponding opnsense issue has been closed due to inactivity 03-2020
https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/3674

... only in transport mode? i think this happened to us in tunnel mode...

... shouldn't this bug be listed as known issue? or is there a workaround implemented in opnsense by now?

has anyone done it or could outlline needed steps to run the now removed pppoe server package on a current opnsense release? are there known incompatibilities to be expected or was the package just removed due to low usage? the use is not planned for production, rather in a lab setting.

I just had the same issue (+solution) with opnsense 19.7 as reported by bimmerdriver. Hang when shown "Guided Installation". Ctrl-C and retrying solved it.

Running on Win10 1909 Hyper-V, Gen 2 VM.
