17.7 Legacy Series / Traffic shaper - prioritising Skype
« on: January 07, 2018, 05:40:02 pm »
Skype seems to use random UDP ports in both directions. Any other way to prioritise Skype in the traffic shaper?

17.1 Legacy Series / Can't boot - really stuck
« on: May 23, 2017, 12:26:14 am »
Hardware: EPIA-M910 (VIA Eden X2 U4200)

With verbose boot on, it sticks at:

Timecounters tick every 1.000 msec
enc0: bpf attached
lo0: bpf attached
vlan: initialized, using hash tables with chaining
tcp_init: net.inet.tcp.tcbhashsize auto tuned to 32768
IPsec: Initialized Security Association Processing.
pflog0: bpf attached
pfsync0: bpf attached

At this point, control alt delete doesn't work - it's hard frozen.

With ACPI disabled, some earlier stuff about speedstep goes away but the boot still sticks at the same point.

Tried:
- nano and vga images
- i386 and x64 images
- disabling ACPI in the BIOS
- disabling NICs in the BIOS
- ACPI mode off using the boot menu
- safe mode in the boot menu
- checking BIOS is latest available
- all of the following hints (can you tell I'm clutching at straws):
    hint.est.0.disabled=1
    hint.est.1.disabled=1
    hint.ahci.0.msi=0
    hint.agp.0.disabled=1
    hint.p4tcc.0.disabled=1
    hint.acpi_throttle.0.disabled=1
    hint.acpi.0.disabled="1"
    hint.p4tcc.0.disabled=1
    hint.acpi_throttle.0.disabled=1

Appreciate any pointers / thoughts please.
