Hallo,

wer nach der Kombination im Titel sucht wird einige Threads finden, in denen nach Informationen gefragt wird, wie IPv6 einzurichten ist. Üblicherweise bleibt am Ende das Problem, dass zwar ein /56 Prefix zugewiesen wird, das WAN Interface selbst jedoch ohne Adresse verbleibt.

Nach ein wenig Probieren lässt sich das durch Angabe einer optionalen prefix ID beheben.

Dieses Setup funktioniert bei mir:

IPv4 Configuration Type: PPPoE
IPv6 Configuration Type: DHCPv6


Use VLAN priority: Disabled
Configuration Mode: Basic
Prefix delegation size: 56
Request prefix only: [X]
Request DNS configuration: []
Send prefix hint [X]
Send rapid commit [X]
Optional prefix ID: 0 <- Diese Angabe führte dazu, dass dem WAN Interface selbst eine Adresse zugewiesen wurde.
Optional interface ID: []
Optional prefix IAID: []

Hoffe das hilft dem einen oder der anderen.

I'm running a Protectli VP4650 with coreboot and also experience(d) random reboots. I don't believe this has anything to do with OPNsense as I've seen the same with other operating systems.

Even had a replacement unit from Protectli with the same issues. By chance I figured out that the device reboots if it had been rebooted rather than shut down completely. It can be reproduced reliably.

An actual halt/shutdown and subsequent power on will leave the device running flawlessly. Current uptime is 3 months+.
Rebooting the device however will have it randomly crash/reboot without any logs/crash dumps.

No further debugging was done so far, but replacing the BIOS is still on my to-do list. Hope this helps.

1. No further steps are necessary. Installing the update, letting the system reboot and then performing a manual complete shutdown is enough.
2. I have not contacted Protectli.
