Every packet that goes through opnsense passes the firewall twice, once when entering the device („in“), once when leaving it again („out“)....

Only if the packets are originating outside the firewall and passing through.
You can have packets coming in and TERMINATING in the firewall host itself.  (and vice-versa.)

Interesting - I have fixed my problem by doing a "Cong" restore; there must have been something there that the new update didn't like.

I will later try and restore yesterday's config and see if the fault comes back.

24.7 Production Series / New Dashboard short-comings

The new dashboard is missing the widget for network time - any chance of getting this back?

Also, the widget for "Interfaces" cannot be dragged down to fit more interfaces in; other widgets can be dragged bigger.

Otherwise, good work guys.
