I implemented the suggestion but my phones have still a problem to connect to the provider. Not directly after the modification but after some time.
After disabling the IPS mode within seconds the phones are connected.

After install of patch OPNsense 24.1.2_1 today my VoIP phone is working again with Suricata 7 and IPS enabled. I don't get the point but will not complain.

Can anybody confirm this?

I cannot confirm the behavior. I have also installed 24.1.2_1 and my VoIP was not able to connect to the service provider. After disabling IPS Mode in Suricata the phone is able to establish a connection again to the provider.

mDNS habe ich bei mir schon recht lange installiert wegen Chromecast usw. aber eine subnetübergreifende Verbindung bekomme ich deswegen nicht auf mein E3DC Gerät.

Hallo Joachim,

habe ein ähnliches Setup bei mir laufen, greife jedoch die Daten über Modbus ab. So weit mir bekannt muss der iobroker im gleichen subnet sein wie der E3DC.
Von einem anderen Subnet habe ich ebenfalls keinen Zugriff auf die Daten des E3DC, egal ob per Modbus ider z.B. rscpGUI in Windows.

Warum das mit der Sophos Firewall geklappt hat kann ich dir nicht sagen.

you have to enter the IP address of your OPNsense box in the Bootstrap DNS-Server field.

@ChrisChros, yep all networks are selected.
Does your DNS traffic stay within the lan/vlan? i.e. is the default DNS server the same as the gateway for each subnet? And are the portforward and outbound rules applied only to the LAN interface?

DNS server is the same as the gateway for each subnet.
The Alias "local_Networks" include all subnets, Lan and vlan.

During setup of Adguard have you selected all networks including vlan's?
I have two port forward and one outbound rule to achieve what you want.

Within DHCP setup I have no specific DNS servers selected, this field is empty.

Additionaly I have for each Lan and vlan one rule to block all external DNS traffic on port 53 and allow only internal DNS traffic.

Your described Problem is already fixt by mimugmail. He updated the plugin a few week ago, now you should have the check box "Primary DNS" under SERVICES: ADGUARDHOME: GENERAL, which you have to activate.

After editing /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/mimugmail.conf and replace /repo/ with /transfer/ only the opnsense update 23.1.6 is listed.
Plugin os-adguardhome-maxit in version 1.9 is not shown, also in the plugin section not.

So a reboot later I was able to install both updates, opnsense and Adguard-plugin. After enabeling the new checkbox it was not working, but a second reboot fix that problem and now its working.

Die Frage kann ich dir leider nicht beantworten. Ich bin eigentlich auch der Meinung das halbwegs aktuelle Hardware kein wirkliches Bottleneck für eine sftp-Verbindung darstellen sollte.
Ich glaube es ist auch nicht wirklich ein Hardwareprobleme eher ein "Admin" Thema beim Kunden, ganz nach dem Motto, das haben wir schon immer so gemacht.

Es wurde schon mir Ihm gesprochen, allerdings ist eine sftp-Verbindung ca. halb so schnell wie die ftps-Verbindung.
Für den Kunden hat die Geschwindigkeit eine größere Priorität als die sicherere Verbindung. Ist leider nicht zeitgemäß.

Hallo Layer8,

ich habe die Regel wie oben gezeigt aktiviert. FTP-Proxy war auch noch gestartet inkl. der entsprechenden NAT Port Forward Regel.
Leider bekomme ich keine Verbindung zu dem Server aufgebaut.

Als Client nutze ich FileZilla. in den Verbindungseinstellungen stand es auf Standard, aber auch im passiv modus keine Verbindung.
Auf die Server-Seite habe ich keinen Einfluss.

Danke für die Rückmeldung.
Wäre die Forward-Regel soweit richtig?
Als NAT habe ich die IP-Adresse des FTP-Client eingetragen

Aktuell nutze ich für normale ungesicherte FTP-Verbindungen noch den ftp-proxy, entsprechend dieser Anleitung eingerichtet.
