Es wird nur ein Backup erzeugt, wenn Änderungen an der Konfiguration vom System erkannt wurden. Früher wurde meiner Erinnerung nach jede Nacht ein Backup gemacht, egal ob Änderungen vorgenommen wurden oder nicht.

What I am saying is that a backup is only made to Google Drive when changes to your config have been made since the last backup.

Thanks for the hint, it is like you have described. I think they have implemented this during the last update. In the past the system took every day a backup, whether a change was done or not.

OK, I will do some miner changes and will report back if the system created a backup on my google drive folder.

What happens when you click on System->Configuration->Backups->Setup/Test Google Drive?

The system creates the backup file and store it in the google drive folder as expected.

Are you actually changing any settings in OPNsense? A daily backup is only created if settings have been changed.

I disabled and enabled google drive backup, nothing more.

It looks like that since the update to 25.1 the backup function is not working automatically.

Hello everyone,
I've had the problem for some time now that the automatic backup to a Google Drive folder no longer works. Everything is correctly configured in the settings and when the settings are saved, the backup file is successfully saved in the Drive folder.
However, no automatically generated backup is saved at night. I also created therefore a new cron job, but unfortunately without success.


What else do I need to set up so that the backup is created automatically? Wasn't that already integrated in the past?

Das mit dem hinzufügen funktioniert leider im Nachhinein nicht bei AdGuard. Du musst während dem erstmaligen Einrichten alle Netzwerke angeben.
Es kann sein, dass es eventuell über eine Bearbeitung der yaml-Datei möglich ist, da bin ich aber leider raus.

Hallo zusammen,
seit einiger Zeit habe ich das Problem, dass das automatische Backup in einen Google-Drive Ordner nicht mehr funktioniert. In den Einstellungen ist soweit alles korrekt parametriert und beim Speichern der Einstellungen wir auch erfolgreich die Backup-Datei im Drive-Ordner abgelegt.
Allerdings wird in der Nacht kein automatisch erzeugtes Backup abgelegt. Ich habe auch extra einen neuen cron-Job angelegt, leider ohne Erfolg.

Was muss ich noch einrichten damit das Backup automatisch erstellt wird? War das nicht in der Vergangenheit schon integriert gewesen?

I implemented the suggestion but my phones have still a problem to connect to the provider. Not directly after the modification but after some time.
After disabling the IPS mode within seconds the phones are connected.

After install of patch OPNsense 24.1.2_1 today my VoIP phone is working again with Suricata 7 and IPS enabled. I don't get the point but will not complain.

Can anybody confirm this?

I cannot confirm the behavior. I have also installed 24.1.2_1 and my VoIP was not able to connect to the service provider. After disabling IPS Mode in Suricata the phone is able to establish a connection again to the provider.

mDNS habe ich bei mir schon recht lange installiert wegen Chromecast usw. aber eine subnetübergreifende Verbindung bekomme ich deswegen nicht auf mein E3DC Gerät.

habe ein ähnliches Setup bei mir laufen, greife jedoch die Daten über Modbus ab. So weit mir bekannt muss der iobroker im gleichen subnet sein wie der E3DC.
Von einem anderen Subnet habe ich ebenfalls keinen Zugriff auf die Daten des E3DC, egal ob per Modbus ider z.B. rscpGUI in Windows.

Warum das mit der Sophos Firewall geklappt hat kann ich dir nicht sagen.

you have to enter the IP address of your OPNsense box in the Bootstrap DNS-Server field.

you have to enable this button, there was a problem in the past which has been discussed also here in the forum.

Does your DNS traffic stay within the lan/vlan? i.e. is the default DNS server the same as the gateway for each subnet? And are the portforward and outbound rules applied only to the LAN interface?

DNS server is the same as the gateway for each subnet.
The Alias "local_Networks" include all subnets, Lan and vlan.

During setup of Adguard have you selected all networks including vlan's?
I have two port forward and one outbound rule to achieve what you want.

Within DHCP setup I have no specific DNS servers selected, this field is empty.

Additionaly I have for each Lan and vlan one rule to block all external DNS traffic on port 53 and allow only internal DNS traffic.
