22.1 Legacy Series / Interface errors across VLANs
February 18, 2022, 09:40:29 AM
hello, my internet speed was only used to 80-90% and that is probably due to the VLAN Interface Errors!
same error as here?! : https://github.com/opnsense/src/issues/74

this is a fresh installation! I didn't have an older version in operation before, so I can't say whether the error only appeared with the current version

my setup:
Proxmox VM
OPNsense OPNsense 22.1.1_1-amd64
WAN interface PCI passthrough (Realtek)
LAN VirtIO
3 VLANs

22.1 Legacy Series / Re: Problems w/ IPv6 / IPv4
February 16, 2022, 02:16:58 PM
the problem is after the update to 20.1.1. and the final reboot occurred again

UPDATE: if I reactivate v6 after the reboot, v4 and v6 work again!

UPDATE II: I have now installed the Realtek driver - now the problem seems to be fixed! :)

22.1 Legacy Series / Problems w/ IPv6 / IPv4
February 16, 2022, 02:06:39 PM
Hi,

I have problems with IPv6. after a reboot I sometimes have no network - neither with v6 nor with v4. I don't get a v6 prefix and the dhcpv6 daemon process is stopped! a restart does not work - crashes again and again. only deactivating IPv6 on the WAN interface and a restart helps to get v4 going! a reboot of the fritzbox and OPNsense brings v6 and v4 to run again!

SETUP:
--------

WAN -> DS-Lite
   |
Fritzbox - 192.168.178.1/24
   |
OPNsense - 192.168.178.254/24 IPv6 PD /60 at WAN Interface
  |
LAN - 172.16.16.0/24

I'm running this on my Dell Poweredge R210.  Have you all made sure that your Bios and firmware are up to date?  I made sure mine where all up to date before I built the box, as I just put this together last week and seems to be running well.

bios is up2date!
it's frustrating! I'm not the only one with the kernel panic!
even under vmware there are these problems! that's a joke!

I wanted to start a fresh installation - kernel panic!
on Dell PowerEdge R340!
No workaround helps! does anyone have a tip or any other help?
