EDIT!:

Please see bottom post, I just want to nuke my SQ3lite database to get data capture working again, I miss my logging and detailed info.

I haven't logged into my system in about a month and I just noticed unfortunately monitoring isn't working again for me.

Unsure why this isn't working. Netflow seems to be enabled and I haven't changed anything.

OPNsense 22.1.6-amd64
FreeBSD 13.0-STABLE
OpenSSL 1.1.1n 15 Mar 2022

I've rebooted and updated (I had the previous version) and it's still not working.

I did just see "Insight Aggregator" in a stopped state in the dashboard, despite update and reboot. (flowd_aggregate)
However I wouldn't have stopped this. Also starting it, only results in it stopping again.

Log files say:

lowd aggregate died with message Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/netflow/flowd_aggregate.py", line 160, in run aggregate_flowd(self.config, do_vacuum) File "/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/netflow/flowd_aggregate.py", line 80, in aggregate_flowd stream_agg_object.add(copy.copy(flow_record)) File "/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/netflow/lib/aggregates/interface.py", line 72, in add super(FlowInterfaceTotals, self).add(flow) File "/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/netflow/lib/aggregates/init.py", line 187, in add self._update_cur.execute(self._insert_stmt, flow) sqlite3.DatabaseError: database disk image is malformed

Here's the file system.

Have I done something wrong? I actually switched to ZFS to get a more resilient filesystem. I was having some serious power failure issues, possibly it was that?

Any advice would be so lovely, thank you.

P.S are there any scripts which email you when a service stops or breaks?
Thanks for the hard work!

Does anyone know how to impliment a boot delay for opnsense but in excess of at least 60 seconds.
I lose power a lot at home (working on this) but if my modem, wifiap and opnsense all boot at the same time (power restored) I have no internet.

If I shut it off on its own, reboot it a few minutes after modem is up, all is good.

So a boot delay would be very handy for me.

Anyone, please?

I have created a reservation and REMOVED the suggested ip address.
Would this result, in the device, at least having a damn name in the leases section so I know what device is what?
(I tire of devices without any description, my crappy TPLink gear lets me bind a name to a mac address)

It seems a malformed greek looking character (that I could definitely, never have typed) somehow got in to the settings, I've re-entered the full hostname, all fixed.

Well, if you mean os-ddclient, the log files should be right there within the same context menu:

Services -> Dynamic DNS ->Log File

Then at the top you can select a severity to view for troubleshooting.

Well that's interesting..........

7268 - [meta sequenceId="2"] FAILED: updating XXXXXXXXXXX.dyndns.org: nohost: The hostname specified does not exist in the database

What? My TrueNAS machine is not having any problems registering it for me, (thank goodness)

Thank you, I've rebooted, tried 3 browsers, I know the data is still being captured, it's clearly a rendering issue with the data.
#23
I thought I would be good and not install the old depreciated plugin as my dyndns provider is one of the list of providers, which is included in the new official plugin built in to the OS.

However I found out, painfully yesterday, it's not actually working.

Anyone know where the log file is for this so I can look up the problem?
#24
Where can I officially report bugs as this is broken.
#25
A reboot didn't solve this.

Example, you can see I've set, 30 days, switched to LAN and the pie graph for data amount, hasn't updated to show my LAN ips, still showing WAN (the default)

Hi,

Does anyone else have issues with this menu? It was fine for me on 21.7.

If I change the date range to 60 days, switch to the LAN interface often the graph either goes blank, or simply doesn't update at all.

I do believe, it's still capturing data, it's just having issues rendering it, especially if it's a longer time frame.
Reverse lookup button is nigh on useless now too, as it too will lock things up.

I will try a reboot, but I prefer not to do them too often.

I am on
* OPNsense 21.7.7-amd64
and I am using a Realtek NIC.

After reading through this, I want to make sure I use download the os-realtek-re on beforehand.

How can I do this?

Do installed plugins persist through updates?

Not sure, all my themes became disabled.  Tho hardly mission critical

Hi,

Found my own answer, hope this helps others, forehead slap.
Disk usage, in the lobby will show in brackets the filesystem type.
Eg: 4% / [zfs] (851M/21G)

Hope this helps others, sorry!

i know os-ddclient is intended to replace os-dyndns but currently os-ddclient support for servers is terrible. does not even support cloudflare, especially with tokens.

is this a known issue? and something that is planned to be resolved before removing os-dyndns? since using os-dyndns currently warns you in the UI about its pending removal

I've now figured this out, plugin is a backend engine to a standard frontend template.
I'm covered thanks to being a dyndns user - luckily my NAS has me covered for this too.

I can't see anything in the menus.
I've gone through some steps, to try and get a ZFS rather than UFS system.

Does anyone know if there's a diagnostic I can run, I don't see to see some kind of "general system information" tab?
