Title: OpenVPN: Client Specific Overrides doesn't work after importing configuration
Post by: Trebor1 on October 09, 2018, 06:52:54 pm
Hi,

We have moved opnsense server, user configuration and openvpn was imported.
The problem is that I create o modify a user in Client Specific Overrides doesn't work,
but if I modify it through shell in /var/etc/openvpn-csc/1 works perfectly, but the interface web not updated with that configuration.

Thanks

With 18.7.x it only updates on connect.

Hi,

I have the same problem. Since a certain version (18.7.x?) the client config is not written to the "client-config-dir", neither when connecting nor when saving in the GUI. As a result, the previous settings still work because they are in the file system, but changes or new "Client Specific Overrides" are ignored. Could you control that? Thanks a lot!

We need more info about the setup used in order to find the alleged issue. OpenVPN has a few rough edges that don't fit even their documentation. :/

I found the problem - in the server configuration at the bottom an option seems to have been added: ' Force CSO Login Matching'

Activation solves my issue.

In version 18.7 this option was not yet available ...
