Title: [Solved] Authentication Failed to access OPNSense
Post by: adish77 on September 13, 2018, 10:21:47 am
Hello Guys,

Need some help from you please.

I created an LDAP server, but was not operational.

I tried to view the status of LDAP server by validating the LDAP Server to test.

System>>Access>>Settings

I changed the authentication server and backup authentication to the LDAP server instead of local.

Now i have an issue where i can't access the OPNSense anymore since the LDAP is not working.

Can you please advise how to remove this settings from console [Single User Mode] in order to authenticate through local again.

Thanks in advance.

Easiest would be to go to go to menu option 13) Restore from a backup and select a config from before you made the change.

Got to this thread,  full instructions are there on how to recover when you cannot gain access via console/gui and need to restore the config.
