Title: cron reboot
Post by: shtech on September 12, 2018, 08:45:15 pm
I see in the cron menu there is an option to "issue reboot" opnsense. I can't find anything about this in the documentation, to simply restart is there anything else needed for the cron job? Such any special parameters?

No, just a plain, immediate reboot. :)

Cheers,

PERFECT!

The reason for this, our (via our desktop pc's) openvpn connections to a client slow to roughly half speed after we haven't had a reboot in a week or two. It's not super consistent but what is consistent is that a reboot of our firewall corrects the issues. Downloads go from 600-700KB/s to 1.2-1.5MB/s.

Sounds like this would require further investigation, but happy if the reboot helps in the meantime. :)

OpenVPN restart doesn't help? Maybe a lot of open connections slowing it down?
