Title: OPNSense and Hyper-V
Post by: TeeStar on August 06, 2018, 10:37:14 am
Has anyone had any success with OPNsense installed with Hyper-V ? I have got it to boot, log in with the installer and then it hangs at the 'Choose one of the following tasks to perform' section.

This is my first time using OPNSense as I would like to try it as a replacement for pfSense. I have had no issues installing pfSense on Hyper-V as well.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks in advance
Tim

I've not used it on Hyper-V, but I know users who have without any issues at all.

When you say it hangs, can you send a snapshot of the screen at that point?

Try changing the font (weird, I know) and see if it works.

There seems to be a bug with UEFI and the installer, which makes it break.

I was installing 18.1 in hyper-v a few weeks ago, so it was pretty fresh in my memory ;)
