Title: Load Balancing outgoing squid traffic
Post by: soutrikand on July 09, 2018, 03:10:22 pm
i have successfully configured squid with the opnsense.
The problem i face is that all traffic from squid uses the default gateway and not the load balancing group.
Traffic to all other ports are balanced properly but all http and https traffic are being routed through the default gateway only.
Please help me solve this.

i have manually tried changing the configuration to listen to lan address (192.168.28.1) only and no loop back addresses.
This doesnt help.

i have tried manually adding tcp_outgoing_address,\
somehow may be due to wrong configuration on my part, that doesnt help and shows proxy connection refused.

any help is appreciated.

Thanks a lot

This is a real problem when you want to control traffic. Even firewall rules dont help in this scenario. Any workaround?

Hello folks,

any solutions yet to that problem? I would like to get a transparent squid web-proxy running in combination with multi-wan-load-balancing. "tcp_outgoing_address 127.0.0.1" (in /usr/local/etc/squid/pre-auth/custom.conf) doesn't do the trick ... any hints?

Best regards,
mscd
