Title: OpenVPN start issue
Post by: marjohn56 on June 21, 2018, 07:00:10 pm
I am seeing a failure to start OpenVPN and this error whenever I reboot.

openvpn[34132]: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/tun2: Device busy (errno=16)

Doing a ps auxw | grep openvpn and then killing the existing instance allows me to manually restart OpenVPN and all is well.

Edit: Not sure if this is on the DEV only, just switched to release and it seems stable on that... very odd

Hmm, the device creation / deletion was adjusted lightly on -devel, but could be cause of this indeed.

https://github.com/opnsense/core/commits/master/src/etc/inc/plugins.inc.d/openvpn.inc

Not sure why it fails on first boot yet. Haven't seen this here.

Cheers,
Franco

I need to do some more live system testing. I am waiting for my 2nd Qotom to arrive, once that is here I can switch quickly to test. At present I have to wait for SWMBO to go out before I can play!

Should be here in the next day or so.
