Title: New User - New hardware.
Post by: Patpop on June 09, 2018, 08:57:01 am
Hi all,

I was planning on replacing my old router E4200 with a OPNSense router.

I looked at following config.
- Gigabyte Z370N WIFI
- Intel i3-3850K
- 8Gb DDR4 2666 - HyperX

Will this allow me to have approx 500Mbps OpenVPN?

Planning on building this in a 1.5u 19inch case.
Later on I will be adding a Intel 4xGb card.

But what was not quite clear to me was the needed disk size. Could anyone give me any suggestion on the size/type ?

Thanks.

Yes i have seen these recommendations but was just wondering why the 120Gb. Was thinking of using a 32Gb optane m2. Will this be sufficient? Thx

Are you going to use caching proxy or intrusion detection/prevention?
If no I'd say 32GB are enough...
