Is this a nano image? What does the console say after boot up (WAN/LAN IP)?

Greetings Neo,

The PCEngines APU 1D4 has no issues with the nano image. Sometimes the write procedure doesn't write things correctly to the CF card. Please try to use Win32DiskImager Freeware utility (http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/files/) to do a direct burn on the card and a serial cable with universal settings. Unless you have a good burn and a good cable, its hard to know whats up with it. Waiting for your feedback.

update and a fresh install makes the APU inaccessible in the serial console everything seems normal interfaces got the right Ip dhcp up etc. but on pc the opnsense wont answer on pings etc.

i was using this image
OPNsense-15.7_OpenSSL-serial-amd64.img.bz2

and for 15.1
OPNsense-15.1_OpenSSL-serial-amd64.img.bz2

i will give it a try this afternoon.

There never was a particular OPNsense-15.1_OpenSSL-serial-amd64.img.bz2 version available. You probably mean 15.1.12?

What this always the case or did it work previously (e.g. 15.1.12)? I'm still trying to put the pieces together, sorry.

Did you follow the upgrade instructions in the 15.7.1 announcement?

The crash report issue was already fixed. It's a warning so not the end of the world. :)

15.7 had a package defect in conjunction with /var MFS, which is enabled by default on the Nano image. You'll have to follow the steps in the release announcement to fix it.

hi Franco already thanks for your efforts. I'm now at work and my Openvpn on the Opnsense is extremely slow.

______________________________________________________________________
2Mbit/s(CPU load is at ~5%) on 15.1.12 it was 50mbit/s(CPU load was at ~80%)
is there a fix for it?
Tested with Streaming and CIFS both ~ 2Mbit.

Just forget this our Firewall switched me to our Backup Connection, because our Provider (both the same) got routing Problems between home and the Company unbelievable :/.

Just a question is this Option new?
"VLAN Hardware Filtering"

Glad to hear it was an ISP issue.

Yes, the option is new, but only useful for setups that require VLANs which then produce faulty checksums on packages. FreeBSD is the wild west of hardware acceleration features. ;)

Thanks franco

makes it sense to activate it? My Wan uses a PPoe Vlan Fiber Connection.
The APU Uses these Nic.

Only if you are having problems. It may only degrade performance otherwise. Doesn't hurt to try it though.

Note that a final fix is in 15.7.6 to make this work as expected.
