Title: SNMP Working?
Post by: katamadone [CH] on May 13, 2018, 06:51:40 am
Just tried SNMP but after installling, the service doesn't start. And in the log I found

Code: [Select]
May 13 06:47:09 snmpd[74778]: bad token in index
May 13 06:46:57 snmpd[47782]: error in config file
May 13 06:46:57 snmpd[47782]: in file /var/etc/snmpd.conf line 11

Also if I change values on Services/SNMP there is nothing written down to snmpd.config / also it says that errors are in snmpd.conf there is no such file, but it doesn't change anything if I copy snmpd.config to snmpd.conf

I'm assuming you're using the latest 18.1.7? The SNMP service works fine for me. Check the services page and see if you have the Interface Binding/Bind Interface set to "All", if it is then change it to a single interface (LAN) and see if that helps.

See https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=8624.0 -- hopefully addressed in 18.1.8.
