Title: [solved] 18.1.4: Remote Access lists not downloading
Post by: ruggerio on March 17, 2018, 07:33:27 pm
Hi,

I installed opnsense and wanted to filter web traffic with the remote access lists.

But neither Shallalist nor UT1 (according to doc) do download the lists. There are no categories at all.

I saw this happening already in 17.1 (according to the forums) but manually downloading did not the trick.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Roger

I just checked shallalist and it updated correctly for me a few days ago.

If I remember correctly one had to apply the list first once, in order for the categories to become available. Have you tried to apply the list once without any categories?

Cheers

Hi Netranger,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, i installed the rule, tried just "Download ACL", reentered, no category, then Download and apply ACS, still no change.

I Setup the box with the latest 18.1.4 Version. But i remember, it has been working with 18.1.2.

Unfortunately, also the logs do not tell that much.

i will download shallalist and try to install it via 127.0.0.1 (if i find out the webroot)

Hi

Maybe also try to click on Download ACLs, then wait until the traffic vanishes and only then click apply. If downloaded correctly, you should be able to see the list in:
/usr/local/etc/squid/acl

if i interpret correct, the entries made in the gui should afterwards occur here:

/usr/local/etc/squid/externalACLs.conf  ???

If yes, this file stays empty. Can somebody confirm this? If yes, i will file an issue on github.

fixed. i had a vlan-interface in my nic-config of squid. When removed, it worked. This caused also other issues.
