Title: igmpproxy won't start after upgrade
Post by: maldenvik on March 05, 2018, 08:53:41 pm
Hi

Seems to be something wrong with the igmpproxy plugin since 18.1.3.
Log says: There must be at least 1 Vif as upstream.
Same config, reinstalled the plugin, removed and added interfaces again. Still it won't start.
Thankful for any help.

Regards
Martin

Mine works well, after updating to 8.1.3

I'm assuming this will bring it back:

# opnsense-revert -r 18.1.2 igmpproxy

But the broader question is: how is your WAN configured and what is your provider? It should probably include a VLAN?

Cheers,
Franco

Regarding the VLAN, nothing should have changed.
If you set the VLAN on the modem, you musn't set it in Opnsense.
And when you set the VLAN in Opnsense, you have to remove it from the modem.
Either way does work for me.

@maldenvik: Do you have a VPN tunnel established?

With my box, I have to start igmpproxy, before starting the vpn server on opnsense.
If I start igmpproxy, after the vpn server has started and the tunnel is established, it fails for me with the same message as yours.

igmpproxy wasn't connected to wan. I've used it with sonos speakers on another vlan. Reverted back to openbsd
for a while. Thanks for all input.

Interesting use case, unfortunately missing data points to reproduce and fix upstream. :/
