Title: opnsense prerequisites

hi everybody,

after testing opnsense on a virtual machine for 3 weeks
I intend to put it in place.
what are the prerequisites to install it knowing that I have a network of 120 computers


waiting for your help i will continue to look at the posts related to this in the forum  :)

but i dont think the recommended specification is enouth for me

i have +100 Pcs and a throughput of 10Gbps

That's good info to start your post. :D

2U Server with 8 cores at least, some reasonable Xeon. Not sure if this is 10G accumulated on 1G or actual 10G or 10G is your max per port at the moment but you need to look at 40G or 100G.

You may be disappointed with firewall throughput if you expect 10G on 10G.

thank you very much for taking the time to answer me franco

then the confutation to which I thought was the following:

CPU : octa core (deca core)
RAM : 16go
NIC : 2 * intel chipset 100GBase T

What do you think about it

Only Chelsio 100G is supported by FreeBSD at the moment. You are better off with a Linux.
