Post by: jung301084 on January 17, 2018, 04:25:40 pm
Hi all together,

is it possible to use wildcard certificates with let's encrypt on opnsense? And if it's work, how does it work?

Thanks  ;)

It's better to ask this question here, there is a bigger chance the plugin maintainer will see it:

(I don't know, sorry)

Cheers,

Nope. Wildcard support is not yet available:
"ACME v2 and wildcard support will be fully available on February 27, 2018."
https://letsencrypt.org/2017/07/06/wildcard-certificates-coming-jan-2018.html

Once our Let's Encrypt client (acme.sh) supports wildcard certs (or ACMEv2, to be more precise), OPNsense will support LE wildcard certs too:
https://github.com/opnsense/plugins/issues/495
