Title: force http traffic thought proxy
Post by: nikkon on December 13, 2017, 11:11:51 pm
Hi all,

I need an andvice.
I have web proxy + remote dns blacklist loaded.
proxy binds to LAN interfaces & it's set as transparent HTTP.
How can i make sure that nobody will bypass it without defining the proxy on each network client and uncheck the transparent mode.
Can I somehow redirect all 80/443 trafin internally from some firewall rules?

Thx in advance

Hi nikkon,

The transparent mode cannot be "unchecked" at the client side as it is mandatorily enforced on the server side unless a client uses a different type of proxy or VPN to circumvent HTTP(S) traffic going through the transparent proxy in the first place. But that is another story...

Cheers,
Franco
