Title: [SOLVED] Deciso PFS20077R Console Access
Post by: DoZZa on October 11, 2017, 05:55:14 pm
Hello,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, so apologies if its not!

Recently I acquired a PFS20077R, same as the OPN20077R as far as I can tell.

It currently has pfSense 2.4 installed which works just fine, but I would like to install OPNsense on the PFS20077R, but I am unable to access the console.

I have tried a few different USB cables, but still the same results.

I have also tried using both Windows 10 (Putty) and Mac (Screen). I have set the baud rate to 115200 and 81N.

Both the Windows and Mac will connect to the console, but I am unable to get any output from the PFS20077R. It does not respond to any commands either.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any help received.

Nevermind, it was the cables!

Both cables I had on hand just didnt seem to work, even though they were working with other devices!

Odd, but problem solved!
