Title: IPv6 Packed Loss
Post by: dstrobel on September 21, 2017, 08:35:01 pm
I'm getting some packet loss only over IPv6 which seemed to have gone away in 17.7.2 and now I updated to 17.7.3 and rebooted and I'm getting it again.

I have DHCPv6 enabled on the WAN and getting a /56 prefix, then tracking on 3 inside vlan interfaces which each have /64 prefixes. Everything seemed to be working fine in 17.7.1 and 17.7.2. Not sure if the update to 17.7.3 did it or possibly the reboot?

Anyone else see something similar?

Thanks

Hi, yes I had similar issues. I made a german post here: https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=5935.0

But I only had problems with some interfaces, check an other vlan if v6 is working there

Interesting, so if I understand correctly your problem ended up just getting fixed on it's own?

Are you sure this is about a particular OPNsense version or just a coincidental reload / reboot during a time when the ISP had intransparent issues with IPv6?

You can try different OPNsense versions:

# opnsense-revert -r 17.7.2 opnsense

Omitting the version brings you to the latest one again:

# opnsense-revert opnsense

Only the GUI and configuration package is switched, so we can see if it's something we did or not. Make sure to reboot to get a clean reading.

Cheers,
